Bog Hog Mud Motors are specially designed air cooled outboard motors that take boats through: shallow water, mud, weeds, cat tails, over stumps, logs and beaver dams.

Bog Hog Mud Motors are manufactured with precision laser cut and formed steel parts. The resulting design means fewer parts than most other brands. This eliminates weld joints and is simple to assemble. Formed steel is stronger than conventional piece together construction.

The drive shaft is supported in a pair of SAE 841 oil impregnated sintered bronze journal bearings. Individual grease cavities are contained by Chicago Rawhide, spring loaded dual lip seals, to insure keeping the grease in the bearing cavity. The drive shaft housing has 2 threaded zurk fittings for maintenance relubing of grease cavities which are above the bearings. This allows grease to flow naturally to the bearings while running, eliminating spring loaded devices or filling the entire shaft with grease which robs horsepower.
